Before you do any Marketing on the Internet at all you must do your keyword research!
This is where 97% of people go wrong; they join a legitimate business opportunity and straight away start marketing on the internet.
They do not know how hard some keywords are to compete for so choose them at random!
A lot of newbies choose Home Business, now I guarantee that keyword will take a LOT of time to work on before you make the first page of Google and Yahoo let alone the desired number 1 spot!
I highly recommend targeting more niche keywords that have a lot less competition, this way you will likely get your site on the first page for that Keyword within a couple of months!
There are a few Keyword research tools out there but I recommend Market Samurai! It is by far the best tool for keyword research I have found!
However if you can’t afford to pay for it at the beginning Google Keywords tool is free and will show you the amount of people searching for that Keyword on a monthly basis!
You want to pick a Keyword that has enough traffic to make it worth while targeting and that is relevant to your business but with the lowest competition possible!
Make sure the Keyword is likely to pull in targeted traffic that will join your list and buy products. There’s no point picking Keywords where people expect information and help for free eg Free “Keyword”. These people are highly unlikely to want to spend money if they have searched “free”.
Did you know 42% of all traffic only click on the number one spot from the research results! The number 10 spot only gets around 6%!
So do your Keyword research before marketing and planning on getting your number 1 ranking with SEO.
